Chronic Pain Recovery Coaching
Do you have chronic pain or pain that is coming and going?
Chronic pain recovery coaching can help! It combines the latest neuroscience on how pain works with a powerful technique called Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) to break the cycle and get you back to living your life.
Why does it work?
Our brain is the central relay station for all bodily sensations. The primary function of the brain is to protect the body from harm by evoking physical sensations such as pain and emotions such as anxiety which in turn create the urge to avoid a potentially harmful exposure and keep the body safe. Our brain learns and accumulates all these experiences within our environment, a highly complex, adaptive process called neuroplasticity.
In most people, the brain assesses situations in a very conservative way ("err on the side of caution") and can sometimes lead to maladaptations where a few harmful experiences can lead to the misinterpretation of normal situations (which might have been merely coincidental with the harmful experience) that are subsequently perceived as threats and trigger the 'avoid at all cost' cascade in the brain with intense physical pain sensations and emotions such as anxiety to ensure we move away from the perceived threat. Since such coincidental triggers may be all around us (e.g. feeling normal sensations from your joints or other tissues), the 'avoid at all cost' cascade is more or less constantly triggered - resulting in chronic pain. You can compare this to a smoke alarm that malfunctions, constantly triggered by room temperature.
Since our brain utilizes all the tools available to it to keep us safe, chronic pain is not just a physical issue, it is heavily influenced by emotional, social, psychological, and neurological factors. Several researchers have found that individuals with prior or concurrent emotional traumas may have a greater propensity to develop such maladaptations.

Chronic pain can also be triggered by past experiences, such as an injury, or due to stress and emotions like anxiety. In these cases, your brain becomes overly sensitive and perceives everyday activities as threats. This heightened sensitivity causes it to trigger pain signals even when there is no physical harm or when an injury has healed.

We understand the interplay of the present and past factors influencing your pain, apply the principles of neuroplasticity, and develop an individually optimized brain retraining to help you unlearn your brain's maladaptations. This process is accelerated through the combination of brain retraining with Rapid Transformational Therapy® (RTT), a systematic approach to rewriting conscious and subconscious narratives ("the stories we tell ourselves"). This combination of techniques is a highly effective and fast way to retrain the brain and unlearn your brain's misinterpretations, paving the way for creating new neural pathways and disrupting the pain cycle.

While this unique combination of approaches is highly effective for chronic pain, it is also effective for many other 'brain maladaptations'. It is our mission to get you back to a happy and productive life.
